Greg Stelse - Owner / Mechanic / Painter / Driver of The Joker**  

Greg Stelse

Greg has been passionate about cars since a young age. Over the years, he's mastered a wide range of skills, from painting Ferraris to building performance engines, chassis, and transmissions. Greg's expertise in car building has been honed through his experience in both circle track and drag racing, where he applies his knowledge to building motors and transmissions. His painting skills are also put to use ensuring that million-dollar show-winning cars are flawless. Greg is hands-on in the shop, often found working on his drag car, The Joker, or teaching his team new techniques. Dedicated to setting a world record, Greg and The Joker team travel the country, where Greg not only builds but drives the car, with his backup girl by his side.

LEAH STELSE - Owner / HR / Backup Girl 

Leah StelseAs co-owner and the heart of the shop, Leah manages operations and cares for everyone like a mother. She’s often described as the glue that holds everything together. Whether at car shows or drag races, Leah is always present, ensuring everyone is well taken care of and backing up Greg on the track. One of her passions is decorating, and she spends her time creating retro scenes for photoshoots. A mother of three and grandmother to four, Leah balances her busy life between the shop, drag racing, and her family.

ANNA ALSTEEN - Assistant Parts Manager 

Anna AlsteenAnna brings a bright and energetic presence to the office. Having known Greg and Leah for years, she fits seamlessly into the team at Greg’s Speed Shop. Anna's supportive and caring nature makes her a key figure, whether she's giving tours, answering calls, or updating customers on their vehicles. She’s also a fan of long walks on the beach and anything related to Hawaii.

JUSTIN HOLUBETS (AKA Rusty Puddles) - Body Man / Fabricator / Welder 

Justin HolubetsJustin, a graduate of Chippewa Valley Technical College in machining, brings 15 years of welding and fabricating experience to the team. He’s versatile, moving from fabricating engine mount brackets to wet sanding and buffing. When he’s not at work, Justin can be found BMX racing. He’s also part of the Joker team’s pit crew, capturing race footage in his retro style clothing and signature mustache. Known for his adventurous spirit, you might find him pitching a tent at other campsites along the way.

ROBBY SMOLAREK - Bodyman / Painter / Fabricator / Jack of All Trades

Robby SmolarekWith 15 years of bodywork experience across various vehicles, Robby has picked up a range of skills, including painting and fabricating. He loves 4-wheeling and attending car shows, and his witty personality keeps the shop entertained.

MIKE TETZLAFF (AKA Dirty Mike) - Head Master Mechanic  

Mike TetzlaffMike joined Greg’s Speed Shop a year ago and has become a powerhouse in the shop. With 12 years of experience as a master mechanic, he likes to stay busy. When he’s not showcasing his skills at work, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and kayaking. And as for his nickname—well, we’ll let you use your imagination.

DANNY FITZGERALD (AKA Hollywood) - Parts/Service Manager  

Danny FitzgeraldDanny is an integral part of operations at Greg’s Speed Shop. With 25-30 years of customer service experience, he keeps everything running smoothly. Though he might look rough around the edges, his quick wit and humor make him a standout character who always has the team laughing

DUSTIN STELSE - Greg and Leah’s Son / Crew Chief for Team Joker  

Dustin StelseDespite running two businesses of his own, Dustin still finds time to help out at the shop. As the crew chief for Team Joker, he's dedicated to helping his dad set a world record. Dustin is also building his own A/GAS Gasser—a ‘56 Chevy—and hopes to be out on the track next year. Though he’s camera shy, Dustin is single and ready to mingle.

DAVE SARNA - AKA DR. DAVE - MOTOR BUILDER/MECHANIC/TEACHER

“Dr. Dave” Sarna earned his nickname while writing technical articles for various automotive publications. With a lifetime in the automotive industry, Dave has worked as a line technician, shop owner, chassis and engine specialist, insurance investigator, and instructor. He holds a BS in Vocational Education and spent 20 years as a full-time automotive instructor, specializing in both mechanics and collision repair. He is ASE Master certified, including advanced engine diagnostics, and has taught for General Motors and I-CAR.

Dave’s racing background includes working with NHRA Top Fuel teams and briefly serving as a NASCAR jack man for Harry Gant. He has driven everything from 9-second drag race cars to 200+ MPH hot rods on Bonneville Speedway and finished 2nd in the Great American Race. Dr. Dave Sarna is a valued member of Greg’s Speed Shop, serving as a consultant, instructor, and craftsman.

Dalton Blohm AKA (Young Blood) - Mechanic 

Dalton, the new kid on the block, has grown up in a garage most of his life as his grandpa's sidekick. Young Blood ended up landing a job at the age of 16 with Peterson Chrysler Dealership right here in our local town up until we snatched him up to join our team. Dalton is also a volunteer Firefighter and loves to work on tractors. He's a shy guy for now but it won't take long for him to come out of his shell here at Greg's.
